Utility Service & Payments

The City of Minden provides electricity, water, sewer and garbage services on one monthly utility bill. Use the resources above to manage your account, make a payment or report a service problem.

Start, Stop or Transfer Service

New accounts, transfers and disconnections are handled by the Light and Water Department inside Minden City Hall at 520 Broadway Street.

Contact the Utilities Office before visiting to confirm the identification, property documentation and deposit required for your account.

  • In person: Utilities Office at City Hall
  • After-hours: Drop box near the City Hall awning; no cash
  • Kiosks: City Hall awning and Main Street
  • Accepted: Cash, check, money order, card and ACH draft

Report an electrical outage, water-main break, sewer backup, streetlight problem or other utility emergency through City dispatch.
